Your guide will pick you up from your hotel, the transportation will take you in a journey of approximately 25 minutes to the town of Pumamarca, from there you have to walk approximately 30 minutes uphill to the Inca Archaeological Center Pumamarca (3350 m), which is in a slope from the mountain that is not so steep and offers a good view of the Patacancha or Calicanto river valley.
In this archaeological site we will see architectural elements such as terraces, enclosures, water channels, buildings that were probably colcas or barns. It is believed that Pumamarca was a military structure and that it also served as housing and for ritual use. Built during the Inca period on remains of pre-Inca cultures. It is believed that its stepped wall had a defensive function.
After the visit, our transportation will take us in approximately 35 minutes to the Peasant Community of Huilloc, a place where some customs from the Inca era are still preserved, there they will tell us about their experiences, they will tell us about their customs and their very particular handmade fabrics with wool.
Then we will have our Pachamanca lunch (different types of meat, tubers and other products cooked underground with previously heated stones).
After this our vehicle will transport us to Ollantaytambo in approximately 45 minutes to your hotel, where our services will end.
