You will experience what it is like to be at 4900 m.a.s.l. after a not very strenuous hike, surrounded by magical landscapes that look like from another planet. You will see mountains with minerals of different colors, red valleys and when there is no cloud you have spectacular 360° views of the area and the highest mountain of Cusco, the Ausangate (6380 m.a.s.l.).

You can also see the Stone Forest (optional) which is a rock formation. In this area there are locals who still keep their old traditions, their clothes that identify them as people of this area. Some of them breed llamas and alpacas.

Round trip: 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours, from 4700m to 4900m

Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel around 06:30 am and after about 4 hours drive we will reach the starting point of the trek, which takes about 45 minutes and we are in the viewpoint of the Rainbow Mountains and if you were interested you could go to the Stone Forest.

You will have time to enjoy the place and take photos.

After that we go to the parking lot and drive to Checacupe where we will see an Inca suspension bridge.

We have lunch in Ttio village and after that we drive back to Cusco
