Cusco - Cocalmayo
After breakfast at your hotel the transport will pick you up. We make a few stops along the way; for example at the highest point, the Málaga Pass, 4316 m, then at the Alfamayo viewpoint, and then at an archaeological center.
We also make a stop at Huyro Hacienda. There our guide will explain to us about the cultivation of various plants such as cocoa, coca and fruits from the subtropical region; we prepare our own coffee there.
Then, after this interesting day, we reach the thermomedical baths of Cocalmayo.
That night we will sleep in Santa Teresa.
Day
Mandor Botanical - Aguas Calientes
The transport takes us to the hydroelectric power station, from where we undertake a hike of about two and a half to three hours (plus another hour to visit the Mandor Botanical Garden) to Aguas Calientes (official name: Machu Picchu Pueblo), about 11 .5 kilometers through the Machu Picchu Canyon, on this route we visit the Mandor Botanical Garden, where we will also see a waterfall.
The path to Aguas Calientes (2040 m) largely follows the path on which the railway lines are located. After arriving in Aguas Calientes we go to our hotel.
At dinner we talk about the visit to the Machu Picchu Inca site that we will have the next day.
Day
Machu Picchu - Ollantaytambo - Cusco
According to the specified route and sightseeing time that we have on our ticket to Machu Picchu Inca site, after breakfast we go to the bus station and take the bus to Machu Picchu Inca site.
Your tour guide will accompany you on the tour and tell you about this Inca site. The visit lasts between 1.5 and 2 hours and depends on the route provided in your ticket.
After the sightseeing, take the bus again that will take you to Aguas Calientes, where your guide will accompany you to the train station.
You will travel by train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo, where transportation will be waiting to take you to your hotel in Cusco.
