Day 1 Cusco – Capuliyoc – Santa Rosa Alta: You will be picked up from your hotel around 5:30 am and after a drive of about 5 hours we will reach Capuliyoc, the starting point of the trek, where we will meet the mule drivers, the cook and his helpers, the horses and mules carrying the equipment and transport the food. The hike of about 6 hours begins and after a short climb we are in Capuliyoc Pass (2900 m), from there the path goes down to Playa Rosalinas (1550 m), place which is deep down in the canyon. After crossing the Apurimac via the bridge, there is a strenuous climb up to Santa Rosa Alta, where we will spend the night.

Day 2: Santa Rosa - Choquequirao, 4 to 5 hours hike. We will be woken up around 5.00 am and after breakfast a strenuous steep climb awaits us to Marampata, from there most of the trek in this route will be less strenuous until Choquequirao (3150 m) where we will see the most important areas of the Inca site visit: its huge terraces, its large terraced complexes, its temples, its ceremonial platform, its terraces decorated with llamas. After the visit we will go back to Marampata where we will spend the night.

Day 3 Marampata – Cocamasana: On this day it will not be necessary to get up very early. After breakfast we go down the steep path to Playa Rosalinas and then a not very long climb to Chikiska where we will have lunch, after that we continue up to Cocamasana where we will spend the night.

Day 4 Cocamasana - Capuliyoc – Cusco: This day we get up around 8:00 am and hike to Capuliyoc, starting point of the hike, there we say goodbye to the muleteers, the cook and his helpers, then our transport will take us to Cusco.
